It is one thing to talk about making a change, it is another to actively pursue your own personal development in a healthy way through counseling. Life can be scary, and we all feel hopeless at times. It is important to me that you do not feel alone as you are dealing with confusion, concern, or pain that life may throw your way. I offer a comfortable and safe, accepting space for you to share your unique story. I can help you identify a plan of action using your strengths to make positive changes and move forward in becoming the best version of you possible.
I am action oriented and believe everyone is capable of making the changes they desire. If you feel stuck in any way, I will do my best to understand you, and teach you tools that are unique to you, for use in your daily life to create lasting changes. I have worked with teens, young adults, couples, and families for over 20 years.
I am passionate about helping people work on issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, divorce, parenting, relationships, sexuality, including GLBTQAI+, and a variety of other needs. During the counseling process, I will assist you in understanding your situation by using techniques from a wide range of treatment options.
Mindfulness is simple.
1) Being aware of what is happening right now, without wishing it were different.
2) Enjoying the pleasant without holding on when it changes. (Which it will)
3) Being with the unpleasant without fearing that it will always be this way. (Which it wont)
